Remote Learning

What is Remote Learning with VMA?

I (Christina) set up detailed videos for students who are more remote. I treat it as if you were in the lesson by asking questions, giving you some time to think and answer, also lets you know when you can pause the video and try out songs yourself first. I make sure the student (parent) understands what the lesson is talking about and how to play each piece. The video recordings are showing the piano keys and my hands.

Let’s say you want to start Monday. I send you a link to the YouTube videos. You review it, practice. Then, the following Monday or even a day later, you send off the final progress. I review it and then send you a link to the new videos.

Any time between Monday and Monday you have questions, I am here for you. Theory pages, you can send off any time after completion. If you need to send me a video to show me if you are doing it correctly, that is fine too. It will not be counted as final progress until you say otherwise.

Once a month, we will schedule in a time to have a one-on-one video chat to have a more online lesson so the student can ask questions more or I can ask students questions to see if they are understanding what they are learning.

The remote learning is a way for students (parents) to step into learning piano without ever being in the studio. You can be at home with your own schedule. This also gives students a chance to still learn while waiting for a spot to open for piano lessons inside the studio. No more waiting for anyone!
